New Patients

What to Expect

During the initial visit, your therapist will take time to listen to your story and gain an understanding of your comprehensive medical history and your current symptoms. A physical exam will typically include observing your posture and assessing the muscles and joints of your lumbar spine, pelvis, and hips. The physical exam may include an internal assessment of your pelvic floor muscles; this is not always necessary and never a requirement. Your comfort is what matters most. Your therapist will then spend time explaining their findings and discuss a tailored treatment plan to address your symptoms and reach your goals.

Follow up sessions will focus on progressing your plan of care through an individualized program. This may include interventions such as hands-on manual therapy, tailored exercise program, breathing strategies, and education.

Getting Started

New Jersey is a direct access state, meaning you can start Physical Therapy treatment without a referral from your doctor. After your initial visit, if your PT determines that you would benefit from seeing a medical doctor, we are happy to refer you to a specialist.

If you already have a referral, Full Circle PT is happy to collaborate with your current medical team to get you the care you deserve.
